was on training leave 2day… 2 b specified.. nt training.. we had sm advanced nurse practitioners from UK/ US?? coming over here 2 share w us so issue abt advanced nurse practitioners. (APN)

had heard a lots n also interacted n share idea n concern abt APN… y? mainly bcoz after e Master e prog tat we wil b attendin.. we wil b out takin over tis role.. so tis session gave us a good chance 2 have idea n also gt tins clearer.. wel.. of coz i reali had a clearer pic of wat a APN is reali all abt…

bt den after e whole day of interactation n sharin session.. i had mani questions in my mind…

1stly wat is e exact role of APN.. in e simplest term it would b a junior doctor… in title. bt den in practice?? in e UK/ US context.. APN had been well established.. e role n job scope is well defined. at least pple knw who they r n wat they cn do.. frm this.. they r able to gain lots of trust n respect n do well in their aspect… tat is why APN r growin n stil more APN r comin… 

bt den in singapore??? wel nt 2 say singapore.. even in our own unit.. e role is nt clearly stated.. even its is stated in black n white.. wat abt hw e other health care allied identified us?? bt no doubt.. we r nurse.. bt den e extended role n responsibilities we had.. no1 is reali clear.. puttin on a title n definition of junior doctor is 2 vast… n hw mani n 2 wat extend r we being accept as a junior doctor?? no1 reali knw…

of coz our clinical director is reali supportive… she tin tat trainin is reali gd for us.. bt 2 certain extend.. she is also concern abt.. in e end future after we cm back as role of APN.. cn we function in tis unit as wat we r expected 2?? frankly speakin is e need of APN in ICU there?? i reali dn knw..

APN in local context is reali a new term.. pple barely knw wat is it all abt… n hw r they suspose 2 buy u in n accept u.. 2 even accept ur ablilities is a totally different issue…

after 2day session.. it make me ponder on lots of questions n issue..

should i reali go ahead for e Master n cmin back willing n reali 2 accept tis role??

i would reali expect tat tis is a real tough role.. will i in 1 day startin 2 regret???

wil my presence as a APN benefit e nurses, doctor n e most impt pt in general???

hai… there is stil a few mth more 2 e interview.. wel.. mayb tis is e period for me 2 reali tin abt issue.. n at e end decide for wat is best for me…

wel.. after trainin went out w cindy n jas.. we finali went Rama Thai… ammm e shark fin w ok.. bt e rest wont 2 great… btw… tis is a most expensive dinner i had… 5px close 2 300 plus… wel.. we had fun eatin n takin pics..

den after dinner we went ahead lookin for place we cn sit dwn n drink… in e end we found tis quite nice place.. the scarlet hotel.

a beautiful place… juz nex 2 Maxwell market… we went into e hotel lounge n had sm drink n of coz relaz n gossip… hehe..it was great.. had so much fun.. e special red wine i had was great.. special.. haha.. i love it.. wel. b4 we r drunk.. we decided 2 leave them n headed back home sweet home…

oh.. 2mrw i wil b gg 2 bk for e gentin trip.. wel juz hope there wil b no more hiccups.. k?? bless me…
